Gurcharan
Singh represented India at the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games where
India won her third successive Olympic Gold Medal.
Gurcharan
made his mark in hockey as a hard hitting full back of Lahore
Government College, Punjab University and Y.M.C.A. Club in the
thirties.
Gurcharan was
selected for the Indian team in the First Western Asiatic Games
in 1934 and again for the team which defended the Olympic title
in the 1936 Olympic Games.
