He played for Guru Nanak University.

He played in the 1979 Champions Trophy in Pakistan and the pre Olympic tournament.

He represented Punjab for 14 years in the National championship.

Davinder joined Punjab Police as a Constable in 1975 and has now rosen to the rank of an Officer in the Indian Police Service (2006).

He now plays Golf and won the All India Police Golf Championship ( 2006).
