Baljeet was the captain of the Indian team at the Junior World Cup at Milton Keynes in September 1997 where India won the Silver medal.

He played in the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur in 1998.

He played in the 1998 Utrecht and the 2002 Kuala Lumpur World Hockey Cups.
