Balbir Singh Railways

Balbir (Railways) was the match-winner of the Bangkok Asian Games Final.

He was a speedy winger and sure hitter.

He was a member of the Railway team from 1964 onwards.

He toured Europe in 1967 and represented India in Pre-Olympic Hockey Tournament at London in 1967.

A 10.6 sec 100 meters sprinter, Balbir could run the same distance in 10.8 sec with the ball, testimony to his superb ball control.
